Welcome to
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV)
By God’s grace, we are a community that seeks to bring glory to God by placing our faith in His name (His character as revealed in the Bible) and covenant promises, by boasting solely in Jesus’ saving work on the cross (Gal. 6:14), by growing in love for God and neighbor (as the Bible defines these) by the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 13), and by setting our hope fully on the return of Jesus (Tit. 2:13; 1 Pet. 1:13).
By God’s grace, we are a community that seeks to bring glory to God by recognizing and submitting ourselves to the authority of the Scriptures in all matters of life and doctrine (e.g., 1 Cor. 4:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 4:8; 2 Tim. 1:13), by “rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15 ESV), by giving the Scriptures the time, care, and attention they deserve (e.g., Acts 2:41; 6:4; 19:9-10; 20:20), and by coming before God confidently and persistently in prayer (e.g., Acts 6:4; Eph. 6:18; Col. 4:2; 1 Thess. 5:17; Heb 4:16).
By God’s grace, we are a community that seeks to bring glory to God by “walking by the Spirit” so as to not “carry out the desire of the flesh” (Gal. 5:16 CSB), by growing in Christ-like love for one another through the power of the Spirit (Rom. 5:5), by cultivating a culture of listening to the Spirit’s voice and relying on His leadership (e.g., Rom. 8:14; Rev 2:7, 17, 29), and by endeavoring to operate in the gifts of the Spirit in a Biblically responsible way and in a spirit of love, service, and humility for the building up of others (e.g., 1 Cor. 12-14).
